The UPstrap is the Ultimate Non-Slip Shoulder Strap for Cameras and bags. The UPstrap Patented all surface non-slip pad provides amazing traction and lateral stability that removes the slipping annoyance and will greatly reduce the root cause of many neck, lower back and shoulder problems.
UPstrap allows a natural posture and a relaxed body to free your mind to the art of seeing. You can stand straight without using your hands or contorting your body to stop your camera from sliding off. Shoot leaving your camera strap on your shoulder. . . eliminating the annoying shoulder to over the neck maneuver.
UPstrap now offers a mil-spec 300 pound test quick release with kevlar web at the equipment side. The Non-Slip QR pad section has a double locking adjustment system on 2500 pound test mil-spec lightweight web. Available QR options are additional kevlar web equipment ends, wrist or tripod safety loop, handle and bandioler.
There is also a Limited Edition Kevlar web SLR without quick release. The kevlar web SLR is the solution for some metal camera strap brackets on heavy cameras under active use - when the brackets tend to abrade the web. The UPstrap is the Uber strap for those who want ~ peace of mind from a strap with or without a quick release. The grey-ox stainless sliders are on all straps. If you can carry it. . . the UPstrap will hold it.
All camera straps except the bandolier have the patented double sided Non-Slip Pad that is bonded to a single piece of web. The webs are rated from 600-2500 pounds. All camera straps are cut to 62". The LT is cut to 64". The quick release is mil-spec part rated at 300 pounds. The sewing is done by a military contractor. All parts are chosen for the best strength and dependability NOT cost. The cost of the strap is a very small fraction of the photographic equasion but a major component. If you can carry it the UPstrap can hold it. We are 99.9% USA parts and labor.

Online, the finest online resource I have found is LUMINOUS-LANDSCAPE. The uber achievement of Michael Reichman this site is a vein of gold and a joy to read !
For technical data and reviews including user groups DPREVIEW is very good.
Ken Rockwell KEN ROCKWELL has a refreshing practical approach with his personal advice about cameras, lenses and even using film in this digital age.
For those of you who are very serious about productivity - thus interested in spending less time sitting in the office chair doing the same digital imaging tasks over and over and over and over again there is hope from Seth Resnick's D-65 SEMINARS. For those of you who want to make your operation a clean mean digital machine, take the D-65 seminar or at the very least get a jump start with Seth's white papers at d-65.com. Seth has a new book on Lightroom 2.0. I don't have a copy yet but can't wait to get it.
If you want outside the "normal" box reviews and perspectives, Mike Johnstons's THE ONLINE PHOTOGRAPHERis what I would call "nuts and bolts" writing. Mike has a "get real" perspective that can only come from decades of having a camera slung over his shoulder. He speaks well to why NOT to put a strap around your neck. . .and other cool stuff as well. Users chime in including the venerable Bill Pearce.
Outdoor Photographer, DPP and PCPhoto cover a lot of ground. John Owens of Popular Photography creates a solid nuts and bolts magazine with valuable information on an ongoing basis. American Photo magazine and the podcasts of INSIDE DIGITAL PHOTO where I listen to Scott Sheppard who does a great job of interviewing great image makers and photo experts. You can also download the shows from iTunes to your iPod or iPhone or iTouch. A great way to multi-task because you can work and listen to the podcast at the same time. . .like I am doing now.>
Last but not least is NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PHOTOSHOP PROFESSIONALS THe Adobe Photoshop "HOW TO" magazine that has excellent current useful information.

SLR-KEVLAR The Limited Edition kevlar web with SLR classsic pad is the preferred choice for active shooters when your camera uses the slot / bracket strap attachment method which can eventually cut the web. Canon Cameras use slot strap attachments and Nikons such as the D90. For cameras over 2.5 pounds the 600# test kevlar web has a very high abrasion resistance. Included is the new grey-ox stainless sliders
SLR-CLASSIC with 1250# nylon web is the best for cameras and lens over 2.5 pounds / 1025 grams that use the split ring on a lug strap attachment system. Examples are Nikon D1H, D2H, D300, D200, D1H, D1x, D3. The SLR Classic nylon web will work with the bracket system but will wear faster than the kevlar. If you use a bracket/slot style camera then the SLR kevlar is the proper choice. Included is the new grey-ox stainless sliders.
SLR-QR An amazing 300 pound tensile strength mil-spec Quick Release System that provides peace of mind for photographers that want the greatest flexibility, especially when working on a tripod with the heaviest electronics and glass. The equipment release section uses the super abrasion resistant kevlar imbedded webbing and the new grey-ox stainless sliders. The UPstrap's Ultimate Non-Slip SLR shoulder pad section has a double locking adjustment system on thin 2500 pound test 1" mil-spec web.. For equipment over 2.25 pounds. Max load 300 pounds. Max length 64".
RF/DC model is a smaller pad for a lighter camera / lens. Examples are Canon EOS 40D, Panasonic DMC-L1, Nikon D40X, Olympus E-410 or E-510, Leica M8 or M series. Note that the weight of the lens, batteries, flashes and special grips may be more than the camera so weigh your camera with lens groups to know your total working weight. Included is the new grey-ox stainless sliders. While the pad is best for equipment under 2.25 lbs. / 1025 grams, the single piece of 3/8" x 62" web will hold over 1200 pounds / 544 kg ! This UPstrap is great on a small SLR package. See the RFG Limited Edition RF for the Canon G9 that uses 1/4" web.
LT-BS model is NOT a camera strap but a camera bag strap, laptop bag, briefcase, travel case, tripod bag, duffle bag, messenger bag, large fanny packs, carry on and shoulder bag replacement shoulder straps that hold 2.5-600 pounds depending upon your snap of choice.
