In 2005, StainRESIST™ fiber technology was introduced for maximum stain protection. As of 2008, more than 800 commercial carpets feature Antron® carpet fiber. The INVISTA™ Carpet Reclamation Program became the first nationwide carpet reclamation program in the US, launched in 1991. In 1994, INVISTA became one of the first to patent technology to chemically recycle all types of nylon fiber. In 2002, Antron® carpet fiber became the first carpet face fiber to achieve Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) Certification. Antron Lumena® High Recycled Content (HRC) nylon and Antron Legacy® HRC nylon are certified by SCS for minimum of 90% pre-consumer recycled content. INVSTA has completed a comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment study and Eco-Profile of all Antron® Fiber producing sites worldwide. Antron® carpet fiber is the most specified brand of commercial carpet fiber in the U.S. Antron® carpet fiber was born from the company that invented nylon. In 1971, INVISTA introduced Antron® carpet fiber, high-performance nylon, into commercial carpets.
